MEET THANDO
It all started in 2020 during the pandemic when I left my job as a Communications and Marketing professional to pursue a career in the NGO space. I bought my very first entry level Canon Camera so we could reduce our marketing budget and take our own photographs.
I immediately fell in love with photography, particularly the element of storytelling. I loved how images could tell a story without a single word. I loved how images transcended time and how they had the power to outlive us all.
I started with event photography, but somehow, I knew that I was drawn to portrait photography, there was just something about capturing the essence of a human being that I was just so drawn to. I opened a studio, and it is here that my creativity and my passion for people meet and we create photographic magic.
My Philosophy
I believe in the magic of telling one’s story. There is so much power and magic in each of our stories, whether it’s a story of a beginning of two people getting married, a story of a woman celebrating a milestone birthday, a story of an old married couple celebrating a life they have built together or a company sharing the compelling story of their brand.
